We had an absolute blast in the Outerbanks of NC this Summer. It took forever to post these pictures but here they are. Yay! I’m trying to catch up on everything now that Mr. Isaac is on a better schedule. We actually went camping when Isaac was only 2 1/2 months old…it sounds so much crazier than what it seemed at the time! LOL! He’s always been a very calm baby he was actually fantastic during the trip. As for the rest of us, we did okay except for the billions of mosquitos! I kept freaking out with the kids so I basically doused them in bug spray (zika is seriously terrifying) and luckily we all made it. We stayed down in Frisco and I honestly had no idea how big the Outer Banks were. We had planned on going up to Corolla to see the wild horses but I had completely underestimated the distance from Frisco to Corolla. Needless to say, it didn’t happen 🙁 We did however, make it to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and spent a good amount of time at Buxton Beach. It might honestly be one of the best beaches we’ve ever gone to. The only thing that stunk was that people are allowed to fish from the sand which is terrible for families with small children. We got lucky and drove all the way down to the very end where the beach literally ends and parked there to avoid my boys getting hurt. That worked out great and the kids had an absolute blast! Isaac spent his time curled up with me and Rafael in the little beach tent which worked perfectly.
