At home newborn session for Baby Bellamy

Often times, people assume that the best part about being a photographer must be setting my own hours or the beautiful places I get to experience. While those are both true, and AMAZING perks of this job, I’d have to say that my very favorite thing is meeting so many incredible people (especially the babies)!.

Some of these amazing people that I’ve met recently are Lilli, Michelle, and their sweet kiddos Zach and Bellamy. I actually met them while they were still expecting and the entire goal was to photograph the pregnancy, delivery, and then a Fresh-48. I cannot express how excited I was at the prospect of photographing the birth of their sweet baby. Unfortunately, due to the health restrictions that so many of us faced as a result of COVID-19, I wasn’t able to join them during the delivery but I was able to visit (with a lot of safety precautions) to capture these sweet images for this awesome family.

Although I was unable to touch the baby (which was utterly heartbreaking because if there’s one thing you need to know about me…I LOVE babies!), I was able to guide the family through a muffled mask on how to move around and I’m delighted with this raw and real look at life with a newborn.

What was especially incredible about this session is that even though I was unable to capture any posed photos, I think that given this fun and playful family, it’s almost like this is what they needed from the start. Natural, joyful, authentic images to represent their family story and all of the joy and laughter in this home. I hope you enjoy these photos! I wanted to share this inside look so you know just how much I love what I do. Truly.
