Our “Baby Unicorn Princess” is 1! It feels like I blinked and the past year flew by in a flurry of love, laughter, and joy. Rafael tells me that Ana, “lights me up” and I think it’s true. I love my boys so much and this final blessing of having a daughter has filled me with such joy and peace that I cannot believe it’s my real life! Her brothers are all obsessed with her and her daddy has completely changed, becoming much kinder and growing more patient with her sweet smile to calm his Marine-like tendencies.
She was born a month early and when the doctors confirmed that I had to deliver her that day, I sobbed! I was so scared that she’d have complications from being so early and I wasn’t quite prepared for her arrival because I truly believed that I still had a couple of weeks left to “set everything up”. Thankfully, even if I had some slight medical complications, she was PERFECT! Tiny, but healthy and I was head over heels in love, once again. She’s brought so much joy to all of us and I’m so blessed to be her momma!
Ana,
Words could never fully describe how absolutely in love we all are with you! You’ve completed our family and filled our hearts to the point of overflowing and bursting with love. Every sweet little facial expression, sound, and move you make is overly watched and I’m sorry about that but there’s just too many of us that love you and want to look out for you. I have always wanted a daughter and I believe that God wanted you to have 3 big brothers to look out for you before he sent you our way. Since you were born, I feel calm, joyful, and complete in a way I never thought I could. We love you so much and cannot wait to watch you grow up and spend our lives together, the Untalan 6. Happy Birthday my sweet girl.
